Perhaps my ideal (or maybe worst) characteristic is that I'm eternally disappointed with my own knowledge.
This could be why I've revealed a certain talent for mathematics and also physics. Merely knowing is never sufficient for me; I have to at least attempt to carefully understand the thinking behind the maths I do, then, take my understanding to its limits. Profusely asking why something is the way it is, probably to the aggravation of my lecturers, is something I'm forced to do. I, as well as numerous others, consider this Socratic technique of understanding and teaching to be unbelievably useful in constructing a basic understanding of maths and physics from basic principles, and I endeavour to inform in precisely this fashion.
I wish I can encourage students with my extreme love of mathematics and physics or, at the very least, reveal the topics as far less overwhelming than they show up. Naturally not everybody is a mathematician, and various minds discover at various rates, nevertheless I will certainly intend to leave a lasting and valuable impact.
